Here's the response -- okay so kinda delayed -- to the "bag tag" from Camrie.

Finally feeling better

I came down with the cold/flu bug that's been going around. Apparently the flu shot I had was for a different kind of flu.
I was in bed last weekend then off work for Monday and Tuesday. I'm finally feeling better and very happy about that.
I did the usual driving to pick up Trevor and Camrie tonight - only 3 1/2 hours of driving :-(
This weekend is another memorial for one of our friends, Jay, that died during the bus accident coming back from Telluride. Then there is going to be fundraiser for one of the high schoolers that died, Joe.

Georgia Aquarium Oct 2007

Just saw a special on NBC Today show. Very cool! I was there in Oct '07. I also went to Coca-cola World. My favorite Atlanta attraction was the CNN Tour.

Anniversary Feb 12

Today was No. 8 for me & my honey :-) I got a beautiful ruby & diamond necklace & earrings.

We (along with CB) went to Macaroni Grill for dinner. It was nice until this server came over and sang an Italian 'love song'. I had a little headache that didn't improve with the song.

Then we topped off the night with American Idol.

Vegas

We had a great time in Las Vegas last weekend with a bunch of our friends. We stayed at Binion's downtown on Fremont Street, ate at a nice steak & crab restaurant, went to a fun outdoor bar at Harrah's with a crazy 70's band, dinner at Bill's (was Barbary Coast), didn't lose all our money and most importantly had a safe trip up & back.

Blogging 101

CB made fun of my first post - one whole sentence. She said it's not good when the comment has more than the post. I told her I'd try harder.

Pumping gas

After I took CB to school yesterday, I stopped at QT for gas. While pumping, I went inside for my new favorite beverage - a vanilla steamer coffee. While waiting to pay for the coffee, at least 3 people came inside to tell the clerks that one of the gas pumps was overflowing. They kept saying pump #2. I didn't pay attention until I decided to look and see which pump my car was parked at --- of course if was #2. One of the clerks behind the register said it had been shut off. As I left the store, another girl came to tell about the leak. I told her it was my car and as I got closer I saw another girl holding the pump. She couldn't hang it up because she only had flip flops on (not so bright for 40 degrees), so she handed it to me and I hung it up. Once I thanked her, I tried to use paper towels to get the gas off my feet. As I was cleaning up, a clerk came out to sprinkle what looked like kitty litter on the spill. I asked him if that was common for the auto-shut off to fail. He said it wasn't common but it was a good idea to stay with the car while it pumps. I think I will follow his advice in the future.

When I told CB about this, she reminded me of her friend's experience with overflowing gas and how I said 'that never happens'. My bad.
